Project Description
The Offline Entry Gate System was designed and implemented for the military station in Haldwani to streamline and secure the process of visitor management at entry points. This system, similar in concept to "My Gate," was tailored specifically for offline use, ensuring that it functions reliably even without an internet connection. The solution included both hardware and software components, delivering a comprehensive visitor management system that enhances security and efficiency at the military station.
Technical Implementation
Desktop Application: Developed using Electron.js, the desktop application serves as the main control center for managing visitor entries and issuing passes. The app operates entirely offline, utilizing a local SQLite database to store visitor information securely and efficiently. This ensures that all data remains accessible and manageable without the need for constant internet connectivity.
Mobile Application: A companion mobile app was built using React Native, allowing on-the-go access and management of visitor data. The app syncs with the local SQLite database, providing a seamless and responsive interface for security personnel to handle entry processes directly from their mobile devices.
Hardware Integration: The system included the provision of ID card printers, enabling on-demand generation of visitor passes. This hardware integration allows for immediate issuance of passes, reducing wait times and enhancing the overall efficiency of the entry process.
